Dry Skin on my Face
My eyelids have been quite dry and itchy for a few weeks now but now next to my eye I have got a small patch of dry skin that looks suspiciously like eczema!
Eumovate, the cream I have been using says not to use it on your face as it can damage the skin which is a shame as it has worked wherever I have put it before. Hopefully it won’t develop into full blown eczema as I don’t think I’d be too happy with it on my face!

If you are going to be putting cream around your eyes, you may want to try a natural cream that won’t sting if you do happen to get it in your eyes. There are many available and it’s just a case of trying them all out to see which one works for you. Search for natural eczema treatment in google and you’ll be given many to choose from.
Thanks. But I find the natural creams don’t make the eczema go away.
It has calmed down a lot since putting the eumovate on it and it nearly gone.
Just a bit worried it might damage the skin!
thx
As a tip, I don’t know if you have ever heard of the range of products called, PINETARSOL? I have been using this stuff since I was a kid, it smells a bit funky, and its generally green, but it really helps. It relieves the itching and helps the eczema clear up. You can get it in a liquid to add to your bath, a gel soap alternative, an actual soap or a spray.
Its made by Ego Pharmaceuticals in Australia. There is an email address on my tube of gel if your interested… ask@egopharm.com
I really recommend this product.
You should look into the products on this website. The first testimonial is actually my sister who had severe eczema that was healed using this product. I hope you find healing!
Is it because it has steroids in that thin the skin?

The Made from Earth Pure Aloe Skin Treatment is GREAT for dry and/or sensitive skin. I used to get eczema-like rashes on my face during winter time. This cream has solved the problem completely. It is absorbed by the skin very quickly, there’s no greasy residue.
If you are prone to acne breakouts this cream will also work for you since the aloe has astringent properties. My sister who is prone to acne used it for her dry skin, and her skin looked AMAZING. Its amazing what a bit of pure aloe can do for your face. I recommend this from the Made from Earth product line.
Eczema runs in my family, and every year in the fall I get either bad dermatitis or eczema just below the corners of my mouth. It got worse this year more then ever before, and my daughter came down with the same thing. It completely fits the description of eczema in the Merck Manual. I tried Young Living Lavender oil on it, and after five days of this it is practically gone. I just thought I would share this in case it helps anybody else out there.
